o/t: talking noir at Albacon

I’m going to be on a panel tomorrow evening at Albacon — a science-fiction convention held in Albany NY — with Kate Laity/Graham Wynd and Debra Doyle discussing SF/noir movie crossovers. If you’re within striking distance, please do think of dropping by.

Should you find that Kate is reluctant to sell you and sign you a book, I’ll step up to the plate as a willing substitute — there ought to be copies of A Comprehensive Encyclopedia of Film Noir, Tell No Lies, Debunk It!, The Chesley Awards, Renderosity: Digital Art for the 21st Century, Discarded Science and others around.

  1. Wow, I do hope that this wonderful event succeeded as well as you expected my friend! I would have love to be there, or at least as a fly on the wall! 🙂

    • It was quite a lot of fun, although the audience was tiny — the con had rescheduled the panel at the last moment, and failed to publicize this . . . so much so that I was talking to one of the con’s organizers and he told me he knew for a fact the panel couldn’t be on when I said (correctly) it was on! A couple of audience members were very knowledgeable on the subject, so I think a good time was had by all. And we had fun in the bar afterwards.
